Warrenton

Travel a little further outside of the Metropolitan DC area, and you’ll find Warrenton, Virginia – country living at its best. Residents flock to this area to get away from the traffic and fast-pace of life in Northern Virginia. Best known as the home of the Virginia Gold Cup Races in May and October, this popular event reminds Virginia residents that country life is just around the corner.

Warrenton was once fertile farmland and still is home to many of the local Equestrian Centers. Middleburg, it’s closest neighbor, is known as the capital of horse country and boasts historic houses full of beautiful architecture. Large properties with acreage and breathtaking views of our local mountains are why the successful and hard-working make these areas their home base.

Kitchens

Keeping a laid back vibe is often front of mind when remodeling a kitchen in Warrenton, Virginia. You know that doesn’t mean missing out on the best appliances, cabinets, or countertops; it means a subtle hand and a nod to the simpler life. Farm style tables, pantry spaces, large islands, and areas to garden and work with younger family members is often the request. These kitchens are gathering spaces and the heart of the home.

Bathrooms

Never to be overlooked, our kids’ and guest bathrooms can be remodeled quickly and efficiently. No maintenance materials with simple design details finish the update that will age well with your family. As Award-winning bathroom designers, we have a simplified approach to tackling these smaller projects. We use the best building systems, never compromising quality because of the size of the project but work to keep your overhead costs down. Nothing adds faster value than eliminating those ugly bathrooms and replacing them with fresh and updated finishes.

Basements

With all that beautiful outdoor space, homes in Warrenton, Virginia, can suffer from some unloved and ignored interior spaces. Finishing a basement space that previously sat unused is one of the best returns on your remodeling dollars. In addition to getting a fabulous new gathering area for hobbies and entertaining, the additional finished square footage adds value to your home. Adding windows, doors, secondary entertaining, workout areas, guest suites are great ways to take advantage of this square footage.

Elizabeth’s vision was a retreat to unwind at the end of the day. Her love of all things coastal drove the design colors and natural stone provided the soft spa feel.
Mary wanted her Kitchen to flow with the rest of the house. Removing a built-in pantry closet and adding a large island, and plenty of storage made the best use of this home’s square footage. Creamy white cabinets and quartz countertops added to the warm timeless appeal.

FAQS

Can we add a Bedroom in our Basement?

Adding a bedroom in the basement of your home has some specific restrictions for safety. You must be able to provide a window or exit to the outside that has a minimum opening of 6 sq ft. You can create this, (called “egress”), in basements that don’t previously have access to the outdoors by excavation. If you can’t provide access to the exterior then you can still create a room but it will not be designated a bedroom when it comes time to sell and serious consideration should be given to how to exit in the event of an emergency.

How long does the planning stage take?

The minimum planning would be 2 weeks. Most of our projects take 4-6 weeks in planning from initial in-home meeting to reviewing a fully detailed scope of work with a fixed price cost. Additions or large structural changes will typically take 8-12 weeks so that the architect, draftspersons or engineering professionals have time to create and update the plans for our meetings.

Do we need special homeowners insurance during the construction?

In most cases, you do not. Very large remodels and additions will have special insuring needs for both us as the contractor and you as the owner. But never enter any construction agreement without verifying the license and insurance information of your contractor or builder. This will protect you from any injuries or events that could take place during the construction of the project. We provide our license and insurance information as part of our contract.
Your insurance company will not allow you to cover your contractor under your policy. Planning for the worst by verifying insurance and then you can have a worry-free building experience.
